August settled at 346, down from the July peak of 566. Admissions cycles are seasonal — July is peak intake for these programmes, so the drop is expected rather than a loss of visibility.

How to read these numbers
What this evidence does not prove. We publish this because a number without its limits is a claim, not proof.
- “Organic Web” is the college’s own CRM label, not a Google Analytics or Search Console figure. We did not independently verify how each enquiry was tagged.
- The files do not establish keyword-level attribution. Ranking movement and enquiry growth are shown side by side; neither proves the other caused it.
- Enquiries and admissions cover January–August. Ranking movement covers July–August only — there is no January rank baseline.
- Walk-in (436), telephonic (799) and paid (93) enquiries are excluded from the organic headline. Total enquiries across all channels were 3,014.
- Results describe the institution’s recorded performance over a period when we were engaged. They do not isolate any single cause.
The starting point
IPEM Group of Institutions is a multi-programme college in Ghaziabad running BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Ed, MBA, MCA and a full law stream. In January 2026 its CRM recorded 37 enquiries from the “Organic Web” source — a college with eleven programmes getting roughly one organic enquiry a day.
The competition for “MBA college in Ghaziabad” is not other colleges’ brochures. It is aggregator sites — Shiksha, Collegedunia, Justdial — which outrank individual institutions for almost every generic course query. A college that does not rank for its own programme names is invisible at exactly the moment a student is choosing.
What we did
The work was structural, not cosmetic. Prospective students search by programme plus city — “BCA college in Ghaziabad” — and the site had no page that answered that query directly. Course information lived inside a downloadable prospectus, which Google cannot rank and a student on a phone will not open.
We built one indexable landing page per programme, each carrying fees, eligibility, duration and a visible enquiry form, then concentrated internal linking on the programmes with the shortest decision window ahead of the July intake.
What happened
Enquiries compounded month over month: 37, 58, 74, 98, 189, 318, then 566 in July. August settled to 346, which matches the admissions calendar rather than a drop in visibility — July is the peak intake month for these programmes.
Across the eight months, the CRM attributed 100 admissions to organic web — a 5.9% enquiry-to- admission rate. B.Ed was the standout, converting 32 admissions from 255 enquiries. BBA drew almost the same enquiry volume (263) but converted only 9, which tells the college something useful about where the gap is: the traffic arrived, the programme page did its job, and the conversation after the enquiry is where that programme loses people.
By August, 31 of 38 tracked keywords sat in the top 10 and 17 in the top 3. Six B.Sc Digital Marketing queries entered at positions 1 and 2 — a programme with no prior organic footprint at all.
Where it went backwards
Two MBA queries moved the wrong way: “MBA Institute in Ghaziabad” fell from 22 to 38, and “Private MBA College in Ghaziabad” from 25 to 36. Both were already outside the top 20, where rankings are volatile and traffic is negligible — but they are in the tracker and they are in this case study, because a report that only shows the green arrows is a sales document, not evidence.
What this does not prove
The honest boundary of this case: “Organic Web” is IPEM’s own CRM label. We did not audit how each enquiry was tagged, and nothing in the supplied files links a specific keyword to a specific admission. Read the ranking chart and the enquiry chart as two things that happened in the same period — not as one causing the other.
